FAQs

I have a question.

Feel free to email me and I’ll get back to you within 24 hours.

Do you offer online or face to face?

Currently I offer sessions online.

How much is it?

The cost for an online 50-minute session is £50.

Do you offer discounts?

I don’t currently have any spaces for lower cost counselling, however you could choose to have sessions less frequently than weekly if that’s more affordable for you.

Do I have to have sessions every week?

I’m flexible on how often you want to have a session, whether that’s weekly, fortnightly, every three weeks or once a month. However, I do recommend we have sessions weekly or fortnightly for the first few sessions (up to around session 6) to get to know each other and build momentum.

How many sessions should I have?

I usually find around 18 sessions is about right for people to start to see and embed changes in their life.  But you can have as many or as little as you feel is necessary.

You can finish counselling whenever you want and indeed a part of counselling is gaining an idea of how to support yourself after counselling, and how you will know when you’re ready to finish or have a break.

How long is a session?

Sessions run for 50 minutes.

What if I need to cancel a session?

Please let me know 24 hours before if you can’t make a session.  If you cancel within the 24 hours, you will be charged for the session.

What modality do you practise in?

I’m trained in Adlerian counselling and therapy. Adlerian psychology is a type of psychotherapy that focuses on personal goals, early influences, and the desire to belong. Adlerian therapists believe strongly in the power of encouragement.

What are your qualifications?

I have a Diploma in Adlerian Counselling and Psychotherapy, as well as a Masters in Health Psychology and BSc in Psychology.

Are you registered with any professional organisations?

I am a Registered Member (member number: 00998724) of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and adhere to their ethical framework.
